Tejinder “Max” Ciano, Executive Director and co-founder

Tejinder Ciano is co-founder and Executive Director of Reunity Resources. Having spent the last six years building Reunity Resources from the ground up, he knows the ins and outs and potential roadblocks and complications. More importantly, he knows how to surmount roadblocks and complications and persevere in the creation of a vision.  From political relationships to systems development to business management, Tejinder’s practical experience has developed into a fount of wisdom. As a member of the Sustainable Santa Fe Commission, he is not just a successful businessman but also a thought leader and committed conservationist.

Juliana Ciano, Outreach Coordinator and co-founder

Juliana Ciano, co-founder and Outreach Coordinator for Reunity Resources, is a former teacher with a Master’s degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction. Juliana coordinates community involvement and media presence as well as manages our outreach programs including the cafeteria training and classroom/school garden workshops.  She gives talks to community groups and leads field trips.
Juliana loves getting her hands dirty in the garden with happy, healthy soil and her happy, healthy sons.

Trevor Ortiz, Operations Manager

Trevor Ortiz, Operations Manager of our current composting facility, is a skilled systems thinker.  He has played a key role in Reunity’s successful growth and been a team member off and on since 2011. Trevor offers his enriched experience with design layout in green industries, having worked in zero waste companies in a different climates and communities. As Operations Manager, he is responsible for running a smooth and safe facility, including training new personnel, managing staff, maintenance of machinery, community relationships as he makes sales and leads field trips. He is also a key mentor for our Youthworks! apprentices. As an avid farmer, gardener and conservationist, he is passionate about compost’s role in creating healthy and resilient communities.

Jesus Barraza-Macillas, Route Manager

Jesus Barraza-Macillas, Route Manager, handles all the collections required to make Reunity’s services successful.  Managing the safe and timely transport of all ‘waste’ to the facility and coordinating requires his conscientious and skilled driving. Jesus believes in the value of hard work and makes it look easy. He is committed to improving our planet for his family and community.

Gina Riccobono, Albuquerque Service Liaison

Gina Riccobono, Albuquerque Services Specialist, has a passion for food justice and has worked with Fresh Collective and Edible Magazine. Recently, as co-founder of FreshProduceABQ, she works to make sourcing local ingredients easy by helping restaurants to cultivate relationships with local farmers, participate in the development of a local food system, and take advantage of the marketing potentials in going local.
