Contribute to Reunity Resources
The importance of local, resilient, and restorative food systems has become more apparent than ever in the past two years of public health emergency, amplified climate destabilization, supply chain disruptions, and ever-increasing resource inequality.
Our work would not be possible without all of our community members and collaborators. Together, we are growing healthy soils, healthy food and healthy community systems while addressing deeper roots of food system inequities and climate change.

SPRING 2022 FARM CARDS FOR FOOD SECURITY CAMPAIGN
What does an equitable, restorative food system really look like?
This ongoing inquiry serves as the foundation for many of our conversations and collaborations.
A vital result of these conversations were an expansion of our local food access programs. Successful programs such as Double Up Food Bucks (produce purchased with EBT is discounted 50%), the Santa Fe Community Fridge (mutual aid 24/7 food access point), the Reunity Farm Card, direct food donations (for families in need served by partner organizations including Santa Fe Public Schools Adelante, Santa Fe Indigenous Center, Many Mothers and the Santa Fe Refugee Collaborative), and work-trade opportunities on the farm to learn and earn produce continue to alleviate hunger and food insecurity in our community.
Our Spring 2022 Goal is to donate $10,000 worth of Farm Cards to families served by our partner organizations. This program was created for families served by SFPS Adelante in 2021. As a school-calendar based organization, Adelante closes for the month of July. In an effort to help bridge the food access gap for their clients during for that month and beyond, Adelante thought $100 Farm Cards would be an excellent way to connect their clients to farm fresh food and the accompanying resources we offer such as Double Up Food Bucks, the Community Fridge, cooking classes/nutrition education from the Sprouted Kitchen, and the farm’s family-friendly setting. The program was so well-received by families last year, that we are offering it again and expanding it to other partner organizations. Whether it is seedlings for a home garden, fresh produce or grass-fed meats and eggs, families receiving a farm card can choose what best supports them. Your mutual aid food support for families means direct access to fresh, healthy food. It allows families to get WHAT they want, WHEN they want it. And it’s grown right in the neighborhood.

Beyond immediate community food access programs, our ultimate goal is creating meaningful systemic change in regional food systems & policies. We envision community food and infrastructure hubs at the core of a localized, resilient, and nourishing food system, where all people have equitable and secure access to locally grown & produced foods. We see many people becoming skilled in land regeneration, water conservation, and farming, as well as having access to resources needed to create food security from the soil up.
By creating a successful model for adaptation and replication throughout New Mexico, we can provide the education, shared resources and advocacy needed to achieve this. This includes policy work, the sharing of knowledge and agricultural infrastructure, increasing access to food waste diversion programs, improving desert soil health, and increasing fresh local food access statewide.
Collaborative examples of our work towards systemic food system change include:
- Land regeneration and young farmer training programs with YouthWorks, Alas de Agua, Mother Nature Center, Three Sisters Collective, and Santa Fe County
- A detailed open-source compost systems manual written and published with Quivira Coalition
- Statewide compost trainings taught with the New Mexico Recycling Coalition.
Through your donations, we can build capacity to increase our impact. Select the programs you'd like to support at the link below.
Food Access, Equity, & Policy Programs
Food access, equity, and policy require immediate actions and longer term considerations: both giving a fish and teaching how to fish, if you will. We aim to affect both, and your donation supports the record keeping, outreach, and advocacy associated with programs such as Double Up Food Bucks, WIC, Senior FMNP, and other programs that improve food access in our community. |
