Compost
Reunity Resources diverts thousands of cubic yards of food scraps from the landfill where they would create toxic methane and leachate. Instead, we are using this organic material to create a rich, fertile soil amendment and garden soils that replenish local farms and gardens, builds a healthy soil biome, and increases moisture retention all while sequestering carbon and storing it in the soil. Healthy soil is key to a healthy community, a healthy planet, and a healthy human race.

Reunity Resources Compost

Reunity Compost
Reunity Resources compost is a gardener's best friend. We offer two configurations of compost:
Both composts are screened to ⅜” and are ideal for amending the sandy and clay soils of Northern New Mexico. For first time applications we recommend a 4-6” topdress and working it into the first 8-12” of soil, the native sand or clay will bind with the organic matter and provide minerals. For topdressing and refreshes we recommend to apply 1-2” of compost, lightly scratched in, and then keep damp for 7-14 days. Compost helps with both water retention and drainage, buffers the high pH of New Mexico’s alkaline soils, can add nutrients and help build the microbial biome that is depleted or non-existent in much of New Mexico. Bacterial / Fungal Balanced 1 Cubic Yard (bulk): $100 1 Cubic Foot Bag: $21 |
Reunity Vermicompost
|
Vermicompost is the superfood of soil, and produced in our on-site, red wiggler worm farm. We utilize our own microbe rich, screened compost as a food source for the worms, ensuring a clean, consistent amendment. Worms have a specialized gut biology that promotes fungal and bacteria colonies that create the vermicompost. We screen the worm compost to 1/8”.
The best part? A little bit goes a long way! Apply 2-4 tablespoons around the base of established plants, add 2 cups per gallon to potting mixes, or apply 1 cubic foot for every 100 square feet of growing space. Bacterial / Fungal Balanced 2 quart bag: $12 1/2 cubic foot bag: $30 1 cubic foot bag: $52 Per Cubic Yard: $700 (orders in advance only) |

Forest Floor Compost
|
Forest Floor Compost is sourced from the high-mountain, outlaw country of New Mexico and is our most economical offering.
Great for native and adapted plants, trees, large landscaping projects and direct seeding! This compost is screened to ⅜” and has a mulch-like consistency with fines. Composed of forest and yard waste material only, no manure or food scraps are added. Can also be used as a mulch layer after compost soil application for heavy feeding plants or highly depleted soils. If you’re looking to amend a very large area this is the compost for you! High fungal content. 1 Cubic Yard (Bulk): $86 |
