The 2024 Volunteer Season
Are you interested in getting your hands dirty, helping grow local organic produce, and taking a more active part in our regional food systems?
We warmly invite interested community members to join us during Reunity Volunteer Days! Working alongside staff and other volunteers is an amazing opportunity to participate in feeding our communities while learning about localized, closed-loop agricultural practices.
We welcome individuals, families, groups, and more during the growing season. Volunteers on the farm can expect a variety of field work from weeding, planting, mulching, pruning, harvesting and more.

Volunteer FAQ
Who can volunteer?
We welcome anyone and everyone, there are many ways to be involved!
We love kids, but please be aware that children under 18 need to be accompanied by a guardian and children under 12 need to be with their guardian at all times.

What might I be doing?
Mostly, volunteers are needed with field work (weeding, planting, harvesting, pruning, schlepping, digging, mowing, etc) and washing & packing produce. Sometimes we need volunteers to help with special projects. Please reach out if you’re interested in contributing to the farm this way: [email protected]. We’d love to talk about ways to work together!
When can I come?
- In February and March, Wednesdays from 9:00am-12:00pm, and in April-November, Wednesdays & Saturdays 9:00am-12:00pm.
- Be sure to schedule your dates via our Volunteer Day Sign Up form so we know how many helpers to expect each day! All volunteers are required to complete our annual Volunteer Waiver & Contact Info Form.
How do I get to the farm?
Our physical address is: 1829 San Ysidro Crossing, Santa Fe, NM. We’re across the street from the San Ysidro River Park Trail trailhead parking lot, where San Ysidro Crossing meets the Santa Fe River.
If you’re driving, please keep right and follow signs to the parking area.

What should I wear?
Closed toe shoes and clothing you don’t mind getting dirty! We recommend that you wear comfortable pants, long sleeves, a hat, and sunscreen to protect from the sun. Bring layers and weather appropriate clothing (we work in all weather!). If you have gardening/work gloves that you prefer, bring those along as well. Bring sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, and snacks.
What should I NOT bring?
- Your dog! No pets are allowed in the field, so please don't bring them during your volunteer shift.
- If you are sick, please stay home and rest; come volunteer when you are well again!
- Drugs/tobacco are not permitted on the farm. Tobacco can carry the tobacco mosaic virus, which has the potential to infect nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, etc). If you are a smoker, please wash your hands before/upon arriving to the farm.
What should I do once I arrive on the farm?
Grab your water and your gear (leave your valuables in your vehicle or a safe place) and head up to meet at the greenhouse. Check in with Reunity staff, and sign-in. All the volunteers will have a quick orientation about what the work day looks like and we’ll get to it!
I have more questions! Who should I talk to?
